ASSET 20th Annual Technology Conference

We will explore examples of how schools effectively transformed their learning spaces to improve teaching and learning and how their successful application of their strategies affected their outcomes. Anyone can pick new furniture out of a catalog, but we will review the importance of applying your instructional and technology objectives to your selections. We will explore ways to reimagine what your learning spaces look like and the types of learning activities that can be accomplished in these spaces. This process includes space design, furniture, technology, research and pedagogy. Learning spaces go beyond the hardware and need to focus on the learning activities and instructional parts. David will share from CDWG’s cliff notes based on his team’s time researching learning space design and experience working with hundreds of customers on these types of initiatives. These projects include pedagogy, curriculum, professional learning, technology and furniture.
