This poster session will invite participants to discuss digital tools that support, enhance and extend the experience of the writer as they move through the writing process. We will explore the question: How does the writing process look different in the twenty-first century? How can we draw on digital learning tools to engage and empower writers, while at the same time, lifting the level of the work they are doing in writing workshop? Participants will explore tools such as Mindmeister, Padlet, SeeSaw and Storybird to help support rehearsal, revision and publication. Also, we will discuss how to support peer collaboration and feedback while drafting using platforms such as Google Drive. Finally, we will visit the blogs and wikispaces of various thought leaders around the topic of digital learning so that we can continue the conversation and join the larger community by creating personalized learning opportunities for ourselves.
